What We Believe

• The scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are God's uniquely revealed and written Word, inspired by the Holy Spirit. They are the church's final authority in all areas of faith and life.
• We worship One God revealed through scripture as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
• Jesus Christ, fully God and fully human, is Lord of All and Savior of the world.
• Human beings, created in God's image, are saved from their sins not by works, but by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.
• We honor the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman, the only relationship within which sexual activity is appropriate.
  
• In response to God's grace and mercy, we seek to live lives of Holiness by: working for peace, justice and reconciliation; welcoming everyone into Christ's fellowship; generously sharing our resources; and seeking to make disciples of all people.
• The Holy Spirit, God's presence with us, gives us wisdom and courage  to proclaim the gospel for the salvation of humankind and exhibit the Kingdom of Heaven to the world.
• Churchville Presbyterian is called to proclaim, teach, and live the gospel of Jesus Christ as we love God and neighbor with all our hearts, minds, and spirits.
